Sebastien

Sebastien is passionate about inspiring change and driving transformation for organizations, teams, and individuals. He is committed to creating environments that foster trust, collaboration, and simplify decision-making.

With 20+ years of experience in leadership roles at multinational companies like Carrefour (6 years) and Burberry (7 years), as well as in SMEs, Sebastien has extensive expertise in leading international teams across regions such as Asia, Turkey, Northern Africa, France, Italy, and the UK. Sebastien holds a diploma in NLP and a Level 7 ILM qualification (equivalent to a Master’s) in business leadership.

In 2020, Sebastien founded Whysebird, a boutique consultancy recognized for its leadership expertise, global outlook, and focus on delivering excellence. He works with clients across a variety of industries, including tech, fashion, sports, manufacturing, food and beverage, and more, with a broad geographical reach spanning France, the USA, the UK, and New Zealand.

Known for his ability to resolve conflicts, unite diverse groups, and offer innovative solutions, Sebastien’s deep understanding of human values and strong relationship-building skills are central to his success.

His mission is to empower individuals and organizations to create a lasting, positive impact on the world.

With 20 years of experience managing business units and SMEs ranging from 40 to 300 employees, I have navigated a wide variety of challenges, including creation, takeovers, restructuring, shareholder changes, fundraising, sales, transfers, hyper-growth, and major crises.

In 2012, I took over an SME, completely transforming its culture and organization, and passed it on in 2023. The journey with the teams throughout this process deeply fascinated me.

I have a passion for learning and experimentation, particularly when it comes to understanding individuals and organizations.

In my interventions, I draw upon concepts from:

  • The psychology of groups and individuals, including Berne's Organizational Theory and Transactional Analysis

  • Coaching methods, especially those developed by Mr. Vincent Lenhardt

  • Key organizational management techniques such as Total Quality Management, Lean Management, and Agile Methodologies

In 2023, I decided to share my expertise and support others by founding Equation Conseil and developing the CLOSER Organizational Performance® approach.
